This time last year I was 10 pounds overweight, unmotivated and unhappy and made it my new years resolution to lose the weight and get healthy. I am now healthier and happier than I've ever been and in the best shape of my life. My NEW new years resolution is to become a more competitive athlete and have already signed up for a sprint triathlon and a mud run. (Compared to not being willing to get out of bed to run around the block last year!)
I owe the majority of my success to the Tone It Up nutrition plan. My only regret is that I didn't find Tone It Up sooner as I would have enjoyed the extra motivation provided by the new year's challenge.
If you want to lose weight, get in shape and feel great but need some motivation join the Tone It Up 2012 challenge! Once you download the nutrition plan and will begin to receive emails with workout challenges and instructions on how to enter to win prizes (based on facebook check-ins, not weight lost. I have won a tank top and lunch box filled with kind bars:) I am also happy to answer any questions you might have as I am still happily living the Tone It Up life style. (Eating clean, exercising regularly and staying hydrated. Well . . . except for new year's eve;)
Best of luck with your health and fitness goals. Make 2012 a great year!
Which run are you doing? I have done a couple now and love them:)
ReplyDeleteCamp Pendleton! The only mud run I've done is a 5k with costumes so this will be much more intense!
ReplyDeleteWould you recommend this for someone who is extremely overweight? i.e. someone who needs to loose 30+ pounds? It seems like you really did just need to "tone up" but would this work for someone who really needs to change their ways? I'm just afraid it would be too restrictive or too much of a change for someone like me. I know you're not a ToneItUp rep, but as someone who has successfully used the plan, I would love to hear your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteA friend and I were just talking about this. It seems like tone it up is geared toward those who only have 10-15 pounds to lose but I think it's because people with that amount to lose, myself included, think we don't need help! I've seen all types of people get results. One woman I was following lost 52 lbs and looks AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteIt's a big change but it's not restrictive. I eat completely differently than I did a year ago but I have never felt like I'm depriving myself because nothing is off limits. Carbs, cheese, desert and even alcohol are all ok in moderation and you are encouraged to eat five meals a day! Granted they are healthy meals but if I'm craving, for example, mac n cheese or chocolate I can find a healthy recipe in the TIU meal plan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info and tips. I think I'm going to take the plunge and join the plan :) I feel like it will def. be a change but a good change and maybe I can slowly begin following the plan. Thanks for all your posts!
DeletePlus, I saw on your profile you're a lawyer, so if you have time do this, I (as a first year law student) can probably do it too : )
DeleteI credit my daily runs for helping me pass the Bar! You can DEFINITELY do it! Add me on fb so we can keep in touch https://www.facebook.com/lara.drew1
ReplyDeleteHi there,
DeleteI know this is WAY after the fact, but I finally signed up and joined the plan today! A month before finals, lol, but hey, at least I have it now right? And I figure I can make some small changes now and really kick into gear once school ends. Not sure if you're on the Tone It Up community but if you are, it'd be great if you 'friend' me. My name is Kelli Huntsman on there, if you want to look me up. Plus, maybe we can be law buddies lol. I'm def. going to be trying some of your recipes soon too.
Yay!!! You are going to LOVE it. For some reason I couldn't find you on the community? Try looking for me: lara drew. Are you on fb too?
ReplyDeleteYep, on FB as the same name. I go to Loyola if that helps you find me on there. And I'm def. going to have to hunt down ostrich steaks after seeing that recipe you posted.
ReplyDeleteYou can get them at Gelsons! Let me know how the plan is going for you:)
